Online child counselling, in Malayalam and English

Your child used to chat about school. Now they go quiet, or explode over small things. Mornings have become a battle, and you're not sure if this is a phase or something more.

You don't have to work it out alone.

How child counselling at Ila helps

Children often can't explain what they feel. Depending on your child's age, your psychologist uses play, drawing, stories and simple conversation to understand what's underneath the behaviour. Then we work with you on small, practical changes at home.

  1. 1An unhurried first meeting with you, then with your child
  2. 2A clear picture of what may be going on, in plain words
  3. 3Regular check-ins with you, and ideas to try between sessions

Questions parents ask

Can young children really do counselling online?

For many children it works well, especially with a parent nearby to help with the screen. If your child would do better with in-person support, we'll tell you honestly and help you find it.

Will you tell me what my child says?

We share the main themes with you and what will help at home, while keeping your child's exact words private so they feel safe to talk. If your child's safety is ever at risk, we will always tell you.

How many sessions will my child need?

It depends on your child and what's going on. After the first session, Adhila will suggest a plan, often [6–8] sessions to start, and review progress with you as you go.
